As the season changes and we enjoy fall foliage, I want to offer a brief update. First, we are back in our Lancaster office and are so excited to welcome you to our new space!
We continue to recognize frequent requests for CASA volunteers - with two months left of 2026, we have been appointed to the same number of new children as we were in 2025. If you recall, 2025 was already a year of exponential growth.
While we are working diligently to provide a CASA volunteer to each child referred, we still have a waitlist of children in both Lancaster and Lebanon Counties. As you read on, you will see our focus and activities are centered on increasing awareness of our mission and the need for more CASA volunteers as well as supporting the incredible work of our current volunteer child advocates. On Monday, October 26, we swore in 14 new CASA volunteers! This was our 52nd class of CASAs, and we are thrilled to have them join our program! You can read all about this class in our press release below. |

Our staff had the honor of attending the Lancaster Bar Association and Lancaster Law Foundation Open House on October 20. For the past several years we have been the recipient of grant funds from the Lancaster Law Foundation to support our program, and we are so grateful for this partnership! |

In October, we participated in Gifts that Give Hope, an alternative gift fair, and Millersville Homecoming Block Party! We were able to meet new people and share our mission at both events. |

Thank you to Michelle Hess, one of our CASA volunteers and Educational Consultant, for presenting an in-service training for volunteers! Michelle shared how CASAs can effectively advocate in schools so the children they represent can have the best educational outcomes. |

CASA is part of the ExtraGive on Friday, November 20! |
Your donations during the ExtraGive enable us to continue our mission! By supporting us during this year's ExtraGive, you allow us to recruit, train, and support new CASA volunteers. This helps ensure that every child in foster care that needs a CASA, a superhero, has the opportunity to receive one.
Our fundraising goal this year is $75,000, and every donation gets us closer to our goal! |
We are hosting an exclusive sneak peek of our new office before our official ribbon cutting at our ExtraGive kickoff party! Join us on Thursday, November 19 from 5-7pm to help us celebrate the ExtraGive. This event will help you get inspired by our mission and ready to donate on Friday, November 20 during the ExtraGive.
