4th Annual Blueberry Breakfast to Benefit CASA

LANCASTER, PA (February 28, 2019) – Begin your day with a blueberry breakfast to honor the memory of Nicole Mathewson, a beloved Brownstown Elementary School teacher who tragically lost her life in December 2014. Celebrate Nicole’s lasting legacy with friends and family on March 16 from 9 to 11 am at Community Fellowship Church, 200 Bethel Drive, Lancaster, PA 17601 (Jacob’s Creek neighborhood), where proceeds from the breakfast will go towards supporting Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Lancaster County.

According to Kara L. W. O’Hara, a close friend of Nicole’s and a member of the breakfast committee, Nicole was a school teacher who loved children and was a champion for those who needed extra help and love. “If Nicole were still here, we believe that she would be a supporter of CASA.” CASA of Lancaster County provides qualified and compassionate court appointed volunteer advocacy for children of abuse and neglect in the belief that every child deserves a safe, nurturing, and permanent home. CASA volunteers believe that growing up in a safe home is a fundamental human right. For information about becoming involved with CASA, call 717-208-3280 or send an email to: casa@CASAlancaster.org or visit www.casalancaster.org.

Please join us for this informal, fun time celebrating the memory of an amazing woman who loved bringing people together. Your financial support will brighten the futures of the most vulnerable children in our community, children that Nicole’s heart held dear. See you there!
