What challenges have you faced as a CASA? The frustrations of the system

Can you share a specific memory of a time when you felt successful in your role as a CASA? In one of my cases, a teenage young man was in an RTF when he got involved. He got himself kicked out of the RTF and went to YIC. I was able to get him an appointment with a child psychiatrist who diagnosed him as having Bipolar Disorder and changed his medication. He was a different person on this medicine. Eventually, he was adopted by his aunt.
